What to do if NHS App isn't working
- If NHS App is down close to a deadline, take a screenshot showing the error and the time.
- Try again outside busy times, such as early morning or late evening.
- Clear your browser's cookies for the site, or try a private window, if you're stuck on a sign-in loop.
- For urgent medical help, call NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency. Don't wait for a website.
- Check GOV.UK for any service notices about planned maintenance.
Our check tests the public NHS App website. Its app, sign-in or other services can still have problems while the website is up.
