What to do if PayPal isn't working
- If the PayPal app won't work, try online banking in a web browser, or the other way round.
- If a card payment fails, try chip and PIN instead of contactless, another card, or cash.
- Don't make the same payment twice. Check your balance later to see whether the first one went through.
- Be careful of scams during outages. PayPal will never ask you to move money or share your PIN or passcodes.
- If a payment is urgent, call PayPal using the number on the back of your card.
