What to do when your energy service isn't working
- A problem with your provider's website or app doesn't affect your gas or electricity supply.
- For a power cut, call 105 for free. It connects you to your local electricity network operator.
- If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away.
- If you're on a prepayment meter and can't top up, check whether your meter offers emergency credit.
- Submit meter readings once your provider's website is back. A short delay won't usually cause problems.
