What to do if BT isn't working

1. Look at your router lights. A red or orange light usually means the problem is on BT's network, not your equipment.
2. Turn your router off at the wall, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. This fixes many connection drops.
3. Test with your phone on mobile data. If websites load there, the fault is with your broadband connection.
4. Check BT's service status page or app. Most providers let you check for faults by postcode.
5. If you need to get online now, use your phone's hotspot until the connection is back.
